MODELLING: Spray Bombed some Orks and finally painted after three years

Managed to finally finishing assembling, basing and spray bombing the 500 point orks that I have in preparation for the mini tournament tomorrow. It's 500 points for 4 weeks. This finally gives me the push to start on the orks.. Now that I have them spray bombed comes what I have dreading.. Looking at my paints and see what has turned to lumps of acryclic and what can still be slavagable. Ugh.

In line with the need for new paints I have managed to get 1500 in the model fund after selling off the Metal Furies (at a loss) good ol JojoBrets. His ship finally came in and he should be in the country until December. That should give us time to actually have a game of 8th Ed Fantasy.. assuming I can get army builder to work again in time :P

I was able to actually paint another figure -- Obis Scout Missile Launcher which he had left to me three years ago for me to finish painting.. I must say I was impressed with the PP paints. at least they were still consistent, not gunky and hell of a lot cheaper than the GW ones.. With the money I got from selling of my figs I might be able to justify myself in buying new paints at Fortress.. stay tuned :)

MODEL FUND: What the were did it go?

I had amassed a good enough stash for me to be able to buy the new Fantasy 8th ed box set for October. Sadly with the wife coming over and a couple of vacations.. I had used the Model Fund as my contingency fund.

I have zero cash saved over the for buying new figures : ( oh well.. Guess my birthday present will have to wait by in 2 more months then.

500 point Ork Army List

Finally managed to get in a list for the 500 point gaming: Let's see if I can finish painting them all in one week :D (Gotta find all of the models first though)

500 Point League /Tournament at the Bunker

The Rolling Hills Gaming Club will be holding a 500 point tournaent/league every Tuesday of September all the way to October starting on the 14th. This will give a chance for the new blood to start getting used to the gaming and fighting the "veterans"

This also gives me a chance to be able to start painting a slew more orks that I still have NOT yet painted (hey what else is new) . I just need to create myself an armylist and from there start gathering the models, and then base and paint them all (most of them are probably assembled already - just a matter of finding them)

I will not use any of the existing models that I have painted (the few and far between ones) so that I get to force myself to paint some new stuff.. Now all I need is to get army builder up and running (or else heaven forbid I result to pen and papper *shudder) ... Still time is running out.. Will see :)

TIME FLIES AGAIN this 2010

Well with the misis arriving first week of July there has been absolutely nothing new regarding the painting modelling side. I just got lazy trying to wade through the different stuff strewn at the room for me to get back into even modelling.. though I did manage to finish assembling the killa kans (finally)

The wife would be leaving this end of August. This may give me the time to go back to assembling AND actually painting something.

Of course... I need to hurry up and finish something soon. After all she might be home earlier than expected this December =)
