Well that was a fast December. With health problems knocking me out for 2 weeks and family schedules and matters forced me out of the GT and some other gaming events, my hobby time petered during the end of the year.
Interestingly I have gotten my friend hooked on board gaming but that is going to be another subject altogether and perhaps a future post.
Hobby wise there are a lot of new stuff coming out that I am excited about. With Kill Team resurfacing this once again gives me the chance to do some quick and fast painting for a couple of models at a time for me to clear out the backlog... just in time for when the IG and Ork Codex comes in March :P
Will be doing a state of the Spawning Address in the couple of weeks to once again compare how my gaming hobby fared for 2013.
Here is to this new year 2014. May I continue to chuck some dice and duke it out on the gaming tables :)

OBERON SILVER CUP - Quick Recap
"Ignorance can be cured, Stupidity cannot"
-- that sums up my games last Sunday at the Oberon Silver cup :D
Without any preparation except fixing all of the broken models that I have I went and played at the Oberon Silver Cup on the weekend. I had spent the week before repairing everything that I could and looking for all missing models that I could.

WIP : Oberon Cup and 40kGT
Well it is less than 48 hours away for the Oberon Cup to be done at Centris this Nov 10 (Typhoon be danged). This will be the first time that I will be playing with my OnG army since last years Jojo Cup. I decided to go for this to at least force me to start repairing/fixing assembling the huge amount of backlogged Orcs and Goblins I still have.
For the past week all I have ever done is assemble magnetic movement trays using old CD cases and the old crafts magnet tray that I have had stored for the past oh ten years ago. I realize that after bringing out all the other stuff I have a ton of to do things before the Oberon cup and I have just one day left to do it all.
Not to be left behind, for 40k there is still the GT and I need to get everything sorted out for that as well. At least I have managed to detail the Riptide (aka "FireMagnet) to at least Tabletop standards.
Here we go. :P

WIP: Tau Allies and first work with InstaMold
Well I caved in and started to make me some Tau Allies for my Orks.. (For the Greater Waaagh)
I was planning to field the following TAU allies.
Had a bit of a problem with the Skyray and I lost the sensor bit for the turret when I was cleaning it on the balcony. A wrong move and poof it went over the ledge..(phat Effing fingers). Fortunately I had another Skyray so still had that same bit .Well necessity is the mother of invention so out came the InstaMold.
After having this for months I finally brought it out and tried it and I was impressed with how relatively easy it was. I did use Epo-Wood putty for this which is the best putty really because this thing can be easily cut but is durable.
A friend of mine was gracious enough to prime and base coat my Tau Ally figs for me.. no way was I going to finish painting them all in time for the GT.. So now all I need to do is highlight them.
Well I got less than a month now to finish all of it .. :)
