WIP - Long Weekend for some.. Work still for me

Well it was supposed to be a long 4 day weekend.. Too bad that didn't happen for me.. Still did manage to do some modelling work..

Got sidetracked with the Battlewagon build and just went ahead and started to build my Dakka Jet. As always I managed to sabotage myself early on by screwing up the assembly of the nose intake and the fuselage wouldn't connect right.. Fortunately found a way to fix it.

I am liking what I saw in a BOLS battle report on how he was able to have 3 twin linked supa shootas for his Dakka Jet and I copied that design as well.. Managed to at least finish most of it before having to need to paint it.

Unfortunately as soon as I connected one wing did I realize that I had connected it wrong (the gun ammo should be on top) crap.

I have actually let go of the concept that I could assemble and paint at my room. With the baby sleeping there I might wake her up and I am afraid that she would inhale the scrapings from the models that I am cleaning. Since I don't want to work at the balcony because I have to re-arrange furniture I am back to my old desk in my oldest daughter's desk  Just needed to remove/throw out a few stuff and I should be cranking stuff in no time.. I hope.

G.I.G Session 1 for me: Ork on Ork using 6th ED

Finally got to play at a secret location somewhere where I can't say.

And had a game of 6th ed with Garr. We slowly had our first 6th ed game (which more or less lasted 4 hours) There is definitely a lot of stuff and extra funky happenings that needed to read and re-read to get the hang of this edition

(all photos taken by Garr's funky cam)

WIP: Stuff I did on the Rainy weekend

Well my laptop was out over the weekend (stupid Malware pretending to be an Antivirus) and  there was a typhoon in the area making the weekend windy and wet That meant lots of downtime... Since I was not in the mood to paint then  I might as well started to assemble the stuff that I still have and make some.

More Lobbas
Finally brought out the plasticard again (haven't done so in years)  and started to make me some scratch built Lobbas. Might have to shorten out the base though so I can put some wheels in there. I would probably need to create Kannons next time .. well the good thing with orks is at least if it looks haphazard looking, then it must be orky

Now if only I can paint these.
Battlewagon
Started to assemble the wagon that has been in storage for a couple of years as well. I still would have wanted to extend the Wagon as per some of the stuff that is on the net that is circulating but I might not have the skills nor patience and I was procrastinating too long to find out how to do it.. So meh.. might as well just get it over with.

Coming together

Ork Shoota Boyz
Started to clip out the boyz from the sprue and started cleaning them up.

Hmmm.. How many boys do I really have?

Yes all of them are being assembled at more or less the same time. I do tend to switch from project to project and yes that's a problem when you want to get something done to completion.. Still relying on the whims of inspiration..

Also with the baby in the room I had the filing and cleaning of the plastic stuff outside. I really need to force myself to just paint stuff when I am in the room. Here goes next month then.
