I was up against Carlos and his Green Ions against my proxy Toyoda Destroyers while the two other league players (both playing Veer Myn) duked it out on the other pitch. I was the HOME team so went up first and all I did was start bashing some heads in as my Orx Guards started hitting the Corp Guards and Jacks.
My team managed to send a max of 4 players at a time on the sin/inj bench and killed of one Corporation Guard. However what the team lacked was scoring with the Goblin Jacks being manhandled by the Jacks and Strikers of the Corp (need to remember to screen the little blokes)
The Green Ions had a good passing game with the Strikers always sending to 01 Hal Jordan for the 3-point play only to see him miss twice. Finally getting frustrated the Ions are able to get a score in from another Striker for one point.
The Toyoda Destroyers managed to look up from bashing their opponents to send one little goblin to get the ball and score a 2 point strike to make the score 1 in favor of the Toyoda Destroyers.
On the last turn the Green Ions did perform at the clutch and 01 Hal finally redeemed himself by sprinting towards the ball and running to the deep and get a 3 point strike in at close range to get the 2 win against the Toyoda Destroyers.. What a game !!
The Toyoda Destroyers will be facing of against the Veer Myn Strikers in their next game who have anticipated and have brought along "Payback". This should be interesting.
