GAMING - What have I been doing in the Gaming scene for the 1st Quarter of 2014

It has been a so so quarter gaming wise

Games Workshop

No Gaming action for 40k but I actually managed to get a game of Fantasy with the Orcs and Goblins against the Vampire Horde. As always I got stomped over by the big units while my warmachines failed miserably to dent anything.

Boardgames

Lots of Board game action was done for the last couple of weeks. Less play area than Miniature gaming required and getting non-gamer friends lets me get more play time then. Mostly it has been OMEGA PROTOCOL followed by Smash up and Dreadball that we have been gaming.

Managed to also play at Ludo Bar. Hope to get some more gaming time again for me to scratch that itch but I really also need to get back to finishing my armies.. Just need to find inspiration (translation: I need to get more games in to inspire me to paint :) )

PAINTING: Painting Project OMEGA PROTOCOL is done.

And over the last couple of weeks while I was resting my foot (whether it is gout or just a simple sprain). I managed to paint and complete the rest of the OMEGA protocol figs.

Someone teased me that I never really needed to finish this and should have completed my still unpainted armies but this gave me something (inspiration perhaps) to actually complete them.

PAINTING - Not exactly Miniatures but good enough (OMEGA PROTOCOL Pics)

Well I suddenly had the urge to spray bomb something and then paint but not exactly my (unpainted)  miniature collection. Had the urge to paint up the gaming pieces for my Omega Protocol set. Good thing I have been working at home for most of the days because of a bad right foot.

GENERAL : What the it's Feb already

Well yes it is the 2nd month of the year.

And yes I have not posted anything for the year regarding my hobbies. Real life will get in the way of gaming as always. Let us see if I can make up by the second half of the month of Feb.

2014 - HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL and Quick look at the last few months of the year that was 2013

Well that was a fast December. With health problems knocking me out for 2 weeks and family schedules and matters forced me out of the GT and some other gaming events, my hobby time petered during the end of the year.

Interestingly I have gotten my friend hooked on board gaming but that is going to be another subject altogether and perhaps a future post.

Hobby wise  there are a lot of new stuff coming out that I am excited about. With Kill Team resurfacing this once again gives me the chance to do some quick and fast painting for a couple of models at a time for me to clear out the backlog... just in time for when the IG and Ork Codex comes in March :P

Will be doing a state of the Spawning Address in the couple of weeks to once again compare how my gaming hobby fared for 2013.

Here is to this new year 2014. May I continue to chuck some dice and duke it out on the gaming tables :)
